How to Pay for Your Tour Package

You may pay for your tour package by transferring the invoice amount directly to our designated bank account.
As we work with different banking partners and currencies, we will share the most suitable bank details with you
once your tour is confirmed.

- Step 2: After confirmation, we will email you the appropriate bank account details
based on your country/region and payment currency (e.g. INR, USD, EUR, etc.).
- Step 3: Make the bank transfer and include your
booking reference number in the transfer remarks.

gateway. This option is available once your tour package has been finalised.

Smart Tips for Hassle-Free Payments
1. Enable Your Cards for International Use
Before traveling, confirm with your bank (or via your mobile banking app) that your
debit and credit cards are enabled for international transactions,
including use in Bhutan.
- Check that both online and POS (card swipe/tap) usage are allowed.
- Verify which accounts (savings/current/credit) are linked to your card.
- Ensure your card has not expired and that you know your PIN.
2. Inform Your Bank About Your Travel Plans
Notify your bank of your travel dates and destination (Bhutan) so that your transactions
are not flagged as suspicious and automatically blocked.
- Mention approximate dates and the countries you will transit through (if any).
- Update your contact details (mobile number and email) with your bank.
- Save your bank’s international helpline number for quick assistance.
3. Check Card Network Compatibility
Ensure your card network (e.g. Visa, Mastercard,
UnionPay, JCB, or American Express)
is supported by banks and payment terminals in Bhutan.

Key Things to Do Before You Pay
1. Be Aware of Transaction & Withdrawal Limits
Your bank may have daily limits for ATM withdrawals, POS payments, and online transactions.
Being aware of these limits will help you plan your spending.
- Check your daily ATM withdrawal and purchase limits before travel.
-
At ATMs in Bhutan, follow the on-screen instructions carefully and note the
maximum amount per transaction.
- If a transaction fails, try a smaller amount or another ATM.
2. Consult Merchants, Guides, or Banks if a Payment Fails
If your payment is declined, it may not always mean there is a problem with your card.
Networks, limits, or temporary connectivity issues may be the cause.
- First, speak with the merchant or your tour guide.
- Try another machine or payment terminal if available.
- If the issue persists, visit or contact the nearest bank branch for assistance.
3. Important Note for Regional (Indian) Tourists
Special Advisory for Visitors from India:
Cards issued in India that are denominated in USD will
not work in Bhutan due to FEMA regulations by the Reserve Bank of India.
To avoid payment issues, please carry cards that are valid for
India, Bhutan, and Nepal. If you are unsure, kindly confirm with your
issuing bank before you start your journey.

If Your Card Still Doesn’t Work
In case you continue to face difficulties:- Try using an ATM of a different bank or in a major town.
- Attempt a smaller amount, as your bank may restrict large single transactions.
- Contact your bank via mobile banking app, internet banking, or phone to:
- Check if the transaction was blocked for security reasons.
- Request a temporary increase in your international limits.
- Keep some backup cash in a major currency (e.g. INR, USD, EUR) that can be exchanged locally if needed.
